
Bruce Wick, a California State University San Bernardino graduate with a degree in business administration, has been involved in risk management and the insurance industry for 25 years. Bruce Wicks extensive knowledge of workers’ compensation, Cal/OSHA, general liability, construction defect, and workplace safety make him a valuable leader in issues surrounding the California construction industry. Bruce Wick is renowned for his ability to transform complex construction legislation and regulations into functional and comprehensible information for business owners and managers. Bruce Wick has recently produced seminars on matters such as SB 800 and related claims handling, AB 758 and associated insurance and indemnity issues, and AB 2774 on the new Cal/OSHA bill concerning the “seriousness” of citations.
Presently, Bruce Wick is the Vice President of Risk Management for the California Professional Association of Specialty Contractors (CALPASC), an organization made up of 500 specialty contractors and suppliers for California’s construction industry. Bruce Wick also sits on various Cal/OSHA advisory committees, and has been very involved in improving the prevention of falls on construction sites. He shares his wealth of knowledge of the matter by frequently contributing articles about construction-related issues to a variety of publications and trade journals.
